Do you think that maybe people find your Will attractive bc of the little Potential sympathies one could have for the character, like how it was implied he suffered abuse? Not saying that makes the attraction valid lol but that’s really the only reason I could imagine people Like him

I think I made the mistake of doing that on purpose. See a lot of William interpretations make him 100% scumbag with 0 redeeming qualities, and while that’s completely valid and I love that, I wanted to make Will a villain who’s difficult to hate in the beginning. I gave him a few good qualities because then people would say ‘oh but Will did (X,Y,Z), so it’s not as bad!’ but the thing is like. He killed people. There’s no redemption from that. That’s why no one caught on to what he was doing, because ‘he’s *nice*, because he defends his kids, he has Henry for his best friend, so surely he would never do something so awful.’
And Will could’ve actually been a good person had he not. you know. stuffed bodies into the main animatronics and buried the rest.
