You haven’t been waiting but now it’s here anyways,
THE STORYMODE REALLY SHORT DEMO.
Download is at the bottom of post.
That’s right, now you too can wonder where the BAR is. This is a really short demo, but it’s all I really have right now. I’ll be working hard on a longer demo featuring the whole first area, The Void. That should be done later this year.
Anyways, this demo features the first few rooms of Storymode and should show off what this game is going to be like and hopefully get you interested in the game and if you’re already interested get you excited?
Moving on, if you find any bugs (hopefully you shouldn’t but you never know) please, please, please drop a submission with as much detail as possible.
If it’s a hard crash (one that actually pops up an error log and closes the game) please include the crash log.
If you find any spelling or grammar mistakes please send in a screenshot.
If you’ve got a suggestion, just general feedback or a question feel free to send in an ask.
There’s a few things I didn’t get the chance to add in and a memory leak I forgot to patch out, but it shouldn’t have any effect on the game.
I’ll probably post another update with some new things added later today as I am not at my computer right now, so stay tuned.
I think that’s all my bases covered. Without further ado,the download link. Just download, unzip and (hopefully) enjoy.
Sending out what will hopefully be the same version you’ll be playing for the short demo to my play testers, so expect a link to a download in a few days here once I get some feedback!
Some sneak peeks from @dak-khuza Storymode Demo! was cool to see Nul in action.
Winter-y gift for @dak-khuza!! cant wait for Storymode’s Demo!
Eyy, I’m back with some more music and another teaser gif! If you couldn’t guess, I didn’t make the December 15th earliest date for the demo release. This was mainly because I was panic completing school projects (angular 2 is the worst thing man has ever made) but now I’m off for the rest of the month!
So! I might make that December 31st release date for the demo!
or maybe even the 25th, it really depends on if this laptop holds up or not. Hopefully next time I post about Storymode it’ll be with a link to the demo! Who knows, I don’t even know!
but mysteries are the spice of life, right? but like all spices if you have to much they spoil the analogy, or something like that.
ANYWAYS! Storymode, yeah, December something, got it?
So uh, a bit of background into what’s inspiring Storymode’s story / plot. I, like a lot of other people, love Undertale, and a big part of why I love it so much is because what you do affects the plot and overall feel of the game.
I also really liked how Oneshot let me talk to the protagonist, Niko, but was a little bit disappointed by the fact the conversations didn’t affect the way the story pans out at all.
So the idea with Storymode is to kinda pair these two things together, where your interactions with Nul and your actions through Nul will affect the way Nul talks to you as well as the way the story as a whole pans out.
So that’s all I wanted to pop in to say, I’m shooting to get the demo out by December 15 at the earliest and the end of December by the latest, so mark your calender.
Just kinda circle the whole month for now but keep that eraser handy as the closer it gets to December the more I’m going to realize how long its actually going to take and how much I’ve over estimated how fast I can do things.
Hey, it’s Dak here, we haven’t spoken in a while, its been almost 4 months since I last posted anything substantial about Storymode! Anyways October is here and as the number of days left until I have successfully managed to survive yet another year draw since my inception draw closer I thought it would be nice to update everyone on the progress of Storymode. What better way of doing that then showing no game play and posting the main menu theme, right? And to give you something to look at while you bask in the glory of this amazing new content from your soon to be favorite game, have a talk sprite that probably captures your reaction to this small update, courtesy of the fantastic @vsemily
